Programs
Swimming lessons are 30-minute lessons for two weeks (Monday through Friday). Once you sign up, you will be assigned a time frame and pool between 9 am and 12 pm.

Pre-School & Level 1
*PreSchool is only for ages 4-5
Comfortable: Comfortable in water without an adult
Starting to learn: Putting face in the water, floating and blowing bubbles
Level 2: Fundamental Skills
Comfortable: Submerging face, jumping into chest-deep water. With or without support.
Starting to learn: Swimming 5+ yards, floating on back unassisted.
Level 3: Stroke Development
Comfortable: Swimming and jumping into deep water.
Starting to learn: Freestyle (15 yards), backstroke, breaststroke.
Level 4 & 5: Stroke Refinement
Comfortable: Swimming freestyle and backstroke (50 yards).
Starting to learn: Breaststroke, butterfly, diving.

Pool and time assignments will be emailed about a week before classes start. Please check RecDesk to ensure your email is correct.
On the first day, arrive early to check in. Swimmers should come dressed, bring a towel, and Levels 3+ are recommended to have goggles. Parents must remain on-site.

Refund Policy
In order to receive full reimbursement for camp/clinic registration, you must cancel two weeks prior to the first day of camp or send documentation (such as a Doctor’s note) proving that the child is not able to participate in the Nashua Summer Camp/Clinic. If you decide to cancel registration within the two weeks prior to the first day of camp, you will only receive a refund via Household Credit that can be used to register for other Nashua Recreation programs. Summer Camps that are outsourced or operated by organizations outside of the Nashua Parks and Recreation Department may not follow the same Refund Policy. For questions or requests revolving refunds for registration fees, please contact the Nashua Recreation Department.
