Typical Day
-Meet at Lincoln Park entrance to Mine Falls
-First 10-15 minutes – Mini Choose Love Social and Emotional lesson
-Group “hikes” to meeting spot – students assist in carrying anything that we bring to the space as well as their backpacks
-Unpack and set up a meeting spot.
-Spend a few minutes in their own “Sit spot,” observing and reflecting
-Group meeting to check in/connect/go over expectations
-Forest exploration – an hour or more
-Snack – students bring their own nut-free snack
-Time on trails is spent noticing/observing wildlife, trees, water, and rocks on the trail.
-Pack up site – “hike” back to the parking lot.

(At the dead end of Coliseum Ave behind Hannaford’s)
What to Bring:
-Water/water bottle (water provided)
-Snack– nut-free zone
-Child-sized backpack to carry water/snack
-Appropriate weather-related layers
-Emergency medicine with weather-safe bag/container to maintain medicine temperature if applicable - please speak with the Camp director on the first day of camp
-Bug spray & sunscreen
-A Hat (Optional)
What to Wear:
-Non-restrictive clothing
-Comfortable protective shoes with gripping soles for running, jumping & climbing. Water shoes can be good to have in backpacks if a child wants to bring them.
-Wear clothing that can get dirty~ the outdoors is messy!
Please read Handbook before the first day of camp.
Monday at 9 am (the first day of camp), there will be a short orientation for the Parents/guardians. (5-10 minutes)
Refunds will be made for camps that are canceled due to insufficient registrations.
